Manager, Quality, Risk & Patient Experience – Full Time
The Manager, Quality, Risk & Patient Experience is a corporate resource and is responsible for the facility’s quality, risk and patient experience and risk management activities. This individual supports the Ethics Committee, Patient Family and Advisory Committee (PFAC) as well as several Sub LHIN integration committees. Responsibilities of this position come with the objective of controlling and minimizing loss to protect the assets and reputation of the facility. The Manager models both professional and core competencies of Stevenson Memorial Hospital
Review current policies related to quality, risk, patient relations and recommend appropriate policy or organizational changes to appropriate Manager and Vice-President.
Act as a liaison with the insurance reciprocal, managing claims against the facility, interfacing with defense legal counsel, administering the risk management and quality initiatives on a day–to-day basis
Manage and analyze quality and risk management data
Conducts or arranges for quality and patient safety and experience educational programs
Complies with related standards by, Accreditation Canada and HIROC.
Education/Experience & Skills:
Master’s degree in clinical health related program, preference to applicants with additional certification or a combination of courses and experience in quality improvement tools and methods.
A Clinical background in acute care is preferred
2-3 years experience in quality and risk role within a health care setting
2-3 years experience in a clinical health care leadership role an asset
2-3 years experience with quality improvement tools and methods including application of the improvement model, root cause analysis and other standardized tools in a healthcare environment
2-3 years experience decision support or data analysis in a health care environment
Black belt in Lean Six Sigma preferred
Database management and system administration
