Temporary Part Time - Charge Technologist MLT ( Quality)

Reporting to the Manager Paramedical Services and the Medical Director, is responsible for the development, implementation and compliance with Quality Management System, including competence assessment, policy and procedures development, review and revision, customer audits, quality assurance reports, quality management training. Performs in charge responsibility function to Laboratory Technician staff.

Education & Experience:

  • Certified Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) required

  • ART or Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology, an area of science, or health administration an asset
  • Licensed with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)
  • Has at least six years of relevant laboratory experience

  • Knowledge and experience with Biochemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Science

  • Experience with document control and updating creating policies and procedures

  • Preferred experience with IQMH Laboratory accreditation

  • Preferred good knowledge of workflow improvement

  • Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and continue to meet safe and quality oriented laboratory service

  • Preferred experience as Quality/ Charge technologist.

  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and dedication to team concept

  • Regular attendance is a requirement of this position
