Job Summary

As part of the interdisciplinary team, the RN is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient/family focused nursing care in accordance with the hospital’s philosophy, policies and standards of care, the College of Nurses (CNO) and all relevant legislation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BCLS required.
  • Current ACLS or commitment to complete within three (3) months of hire.
  • CC1 and CC2 or commitment to complete within
  • Completion of NVCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or MOAB training or equivalent.
  • Certificate in Gentle Persuasive approach preferred.
  • Completion of Critical Care Certificate (preferred) or commitment to completion within twelve (12) months of hire.
  • Experience in a Medical/Surgical or Telemetry required; experience in an ICU, CCU, Step Down or Coronary Care Unit will be of an asset.

Hours of Work:  In order to provide the necessary patient care, our operations run 24/7.  There is the expectation that you are available to work weekdays, weekends and all shifts (days, nights, 12 hour shifts).
Wages: $34.24 to $49.02/hr plus 13% in lieu of benefits (9% if in HOOPP)_ONA collective agreement
