Alliston Home Hardware Building Centre Volunteers Roll Up Their Sleeves for Stevenson

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE[Oct 15, 2018] As a long-term, dedicated corporate supporter, Alliston Home Hardware Building Centre sent a team of five enthusiastic volunteers to Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH) on Oct.10 to paint the outpatient clinics.

“We are so fortunate to have a hospital in our community,” says Kim Ytsma, part owner of Home Hardware in Alliston on their motivation for donating all of the paint needed for the Stevenson revitalization project (265 gallons!) and sending a volunteer team to paint. “Everyone needs our hospital at some point and we feel that it’s really important to give back.”

“We are so grateful to Alliston Home Hardware Building Centre for generously donating the paint for our “Roll Up Your Sleeves” for the Stevenson revitalization project and volunteering their time and skills to create a brighter, more welcoming place for patients,” says Carrie Jeffreys, Vice-President and Chief Nursing Executive. “Our patients are so thrilled that some of them have even been coming up to the volunteer teams and thanking them for making such a difference!”

We are deeply grateful to the many generous community supporters and volunteers who have made the “Roll Up Your Sleeves” for Stevenson revitalization project a tremendous success. The ongoing transformation has been incredible and our patients and staff are thankful to have a brighter, refreshed space.
