SMH Announces New President and CEO

Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Deepak Sharma as their new President and Chief Executive Officer effective March 16, 2026.
Deepak is currently the Vice President, Strategy & Organizational Performance at William Osler Health System, where he has successfully led the development, launch and implementation of their strategic plan, aligning organizational priorities with community health needs and future system transformation.
Prior to joining Osler, Deepak held progressive leadership positions at North York General Hospital, including Interim Vice President, Strategy, Integration and Health Information. He brings over 20 years of progressive experience in decision support and business intelligence, including leadership roles in large community and academic health facilities.
His formal education includes a Master of Health Science, Health Administration from the University of Toronto, an Honours Bachelor of Science, Health Sciences from the University of Waterloo and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from York University, Schulich School of Business.
