Parking Impacts at Stevenson Memorial Hospital as New Parking Lot Construction Progresses

 

[Alliston, ON – November 14, 2025] — Construction is underway on a new parking lot at Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH) on the front of the property. To accommodate this work, changes will be made to the hospital’s upper parking lot beginning Monday, November 17. 

A section of parking in the central area of the upper lot will close to allow for necessary curbing and site preparation for the new lot, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year. 

 

What visitors need to know:

• Visitor parking remains available in both the upper and lower parking lots. To offset the closure of spots in the central upper area, a section of spots will be designated for visitors across from the Ambulance Bay.
• Accessible parking spots will remain in the central area of the upper lot, close to the main entrance.
• Please refrain from parking in areas designated for staff. These will be identified with signage.
• Additional public parking is available across the street along Fletcher Crescent (next to the pavilion and across from Riverdale Park).
• Drop-offs at the front entrance are encouraged for patients whenever possible, especially for those with mobility limitations.
• The lower lot will also be partially impacted next week for repairs.

Visitors and staff are encouraged to allow extra time to park upon arrival.
