Hospital staff receive training in decontamination of victims from a hazardous waste spill. Patients must be decontaminated prior to being allowed in the hospital if exposed to chemical or biological agents. Joy McCarron, manager of the medical-surgical unit and emergency department at Stevenson is a CBRN Specialist trainer for the Central LHIN.
