Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) practices in accordance within relevant legislation/standards, meeting the legal and ethical requirements of the profession. 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses (CNO) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BCLS required.
  • Current ACLS and PALS or commitment to complete within three (3) months of hire.
  • CC1 and CC2 preferred.
  • TNCC certification required or commitment to complete within six (6) months of hire.
  • Completion of NVCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) or MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behaviours) training or equivalent.
  • Certificate in Gentle Persuasive approach preferred.
  • Recent experience working in an emergency unit within the last two years.
  • Experience with arterial lines and central lines maintenance.

  • IV therapy initiation and maintenance (parenteral therapy).

  • Good working knowledge of Electronic Documentation.

Hours of Work:  In order to provide the necessary patient care, our operations run 24/7.  There is the expectation that you are available to work weekdays, weekends and all shifts (days, nights).

Wages: $33.90 to $48.53 /hour plus 13% in lieu of benefits (9% if in HOOPP)_ONA collective agreement
