For approximately 12 months
RN Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
C.N.A. Emergency Certification preferred.
All inter-professional personnel assigned to the clinical area report directly to the Clinical Coordinator with respect to patient care and staff issues.
He/She develops and facilitates internal programs.
He/She provides a framework to support and advance professional practice.
He/She leads the team in implementing evidence-based practices within the patient centred care philosophy.
Excellent organizational skills.
He/she role models professional and organizational core competencies.
Provides support, orientation and skills development for staff within the department.
Responsible for the provision of competency based clinical education and professional development for staff.
Actively participates with the program team in implementing evidence-based practices to achieve program objectives, in particular, assist in the development of clinical pathways or protocols that incorporate evidence-based practice.
Role models clinical excellence and all core competencies.
Advances professional practice and the practice of other inter-professional team members as appropriate through leadership, learning and development, integration of research, education and practice, critical thinking inquiry and analysis.
Provides clinical supervision and coaching/mentoring to staff.
Takes responsibility for the safety and well being of patients; including current knowledge of hospital codes, falls prevention, wound care and incident reporting.
